The Wednesday, Aug. 4 live results show of "America's Got Talent" just got a whole lot thornier.
Bret Michaels, most recently of "Celebrity Apprentice," is stopping by "America's Got Talent" to perform his signature power ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." He will be joined by U.K. artist Taio Cruz, whose debut single "Break Your Heart," (feat. Ludicris) is currently making its way up the charts.
Michaels also performed "Rose" on the "American Idol" finale with finalist Casey James and has been mentioned many times in guess-who-is-replacing-Simon-Cowell conversations. This performance of "Rose" comes during the last quarter-final of "Talent," when the final three acts advance to the semi-finals.
Funnily enough, we predicted Bret Michaels would be on "Talent." We were only three weeks off. "America's Got Talent" airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

A lot of Press Over Dynamite, Taio's New Single!
I love the video and I love the song. What do you think? Will it hit number one? If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out here.
Mike Thiel column: Usher, Katy Perry, Taio Cruz among artists defining summer radio play
Think of all the music you mentally digest in a week; what songs get stuck in your head? What melody do you find yourself humming along to even when you despise it?
For some reason, summer songs are far more contagious than songs released in other seasons, and 2010’s defining summer tunes are beginning to pop; Usher’s back, Katy Perry never left and Taio Cruz is finally creeping up on the veterans.
Choosing this summer’s top dance/club tracks was difficult but after considering the timing of the release, longevity on the charts, radio play, current chart status and a little subjectivity, it became easier to dole out my five songs to be remembered in the summer of 2010.
“OMG” by Usher
After hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently lasting 16 weeks on the charts, I will go on record to say that “OMG” holds enough weight to close down 2010 as the summer’s defining song. Even in its almighty radio rotation, “OMG” shines brighter than other tracks with its clever song structure, fun incorporation of technology lingo and new school meets old school video. Usher is back in 2010 and is inching closer to filling the void left by our now Michael Jackson-less music world.
“Dynamite” by Taio Cruz
“Break Your Heart” added the commercial value of Ludacris to lift it to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but “Dynamite” has Cruz all on his own, rocking a simple solo sing-along. I’m loving this track right now and it’s holding its place on the charts well; too soon to tell if this one will get old fast, but right now it’s exploding like … dynamite.
“Club Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida
Last night, “Club Can’t Handle Me” was sitting at No. 89 on the Billboard Hot 100, which means it has the potential to do some serious climbing in the upcoming weeks. Though sometimes it reminds me of a “I Got a Feeling”/”Hamster Dance Song” hybrid, it’s a total hands-up party track that has potential to last in the DJ’s play list.
“I Like It” by Enrique Iglesias
Originally, I poked fun and called this song “I Don’t Like It,” but its continuous radio play has forced me to sing along, and now, the song and I enjoy our time together. Whether any of us really “like it” or not, Iglesias and Pitbull nail the summer sound with this one.
“California Gurls” by Katy Perry
It’s the current No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 (as of last night) and is shaping up to be the peanut butter to our summer jam. A catchy hook, an assist from Snoop Dogg and a risque music video were enough to boot “OMG” from the top spot a few weeks ago and it has anchored itself since. Also, the No. 1 hit is spurring YouTube spoofs like “Minnesota Gurls,” which is sure to inspire more (bad) knock-offs, keeping this summery tune fresh until the leaves start falling.

Video Premiere: Taio Cruz's 'Dynamite'
Taio Cruz rides a fast bike and stops by a place where he kicks off a firework party with the ladies in attendance. "I've done race cars and speedboats. For this one, I wanted to do things on a bike," he explained to MTV. "So you're gonna see me spin the tires on this, which is pretty cool!"
One of the vehicles brought for the video shoot is a "massive truck" which was used to film big screen project "Universal Soldier". He said, "I've never done a video that has this many props in it. We've got the most amazing, wrecked cars."
"Dynamite" is taken from Taio Cruz's second album "Rokstarr". He stated, "[It] is about when you go to the club and when you go to a party and when you're just going out ... you got to feel like, 'I'm just gonna explode'." And he represents that in the music video with "just massive, massive fireworks in the sky."

Listen to Taio Cruz "Dynamite" (Stonebridge Remix)
Taio Cruz's new single "Dynamite" is guilty pleasure pop of the finest kind. And that should really come as no surprise. The track was written by Taio in collaboration with Dr. Luke (Ke$ha's main man) and Swedish pop genius Max Martin who really doesn't need more of an introduction.
"Dynamite" further solidies Cruz's reputation as one of the planet's rare, sure-bet chart toppers. If you look for slick, catchy and dancefloor-ready pop, Taizo Cruz delivers every single time. The single comes with a slew of remixes including this hot little remake by Stonebridge. "Dynamite" will hit the U.K. on August 23.

Taio Cruz Teases 'Massive Fireworks' In 'Dynamite' Video
Set visit with the 'Break Your Heart' singer also reveals tricked-out bikes, hot models in mechanic outfits and more.
Shifting modes of transportation from sports car to speedboat to race-ready motorcycle, British dance/pop singer Taio Cruz plans to take fans along to a fiery junkyard fete with the new video for his hit single "Dynamite."For those unfamiliar with Cruz's video persuasions, he tends to go for two things in particular: scantily clad hotties in party mode and some form of adrenaline-boosting vehicle. So when MTV News recently caught up with him on the Sun Valley, California, set for "Dynamite," we weren't too surprised to find dozens of models outfitted in mechanic uniforms. The ride-loving pop star also found it appropriate to conduct our interview perched on his 1000cc-speed bike.
"I've done race cars and speedboats. For this one, I wanted to do things on a bike," Cruz explained. "So you're gonna see me spin the tires on this, which is pretty cool!"
"Dynamite" currently stands at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, just two spots shy of his debut U.S. single, "Beak Your Heart," which topped the chart earlier this year and has spent more than four months in the rankings. For the "Dynamite" visual, fans will be pleased to see Cruz has taken his set-piece game to a whole new level.
"I've never done a video that has this many props in it," Cruz said. "We've got the most amazing, wrecked cars. There's even a massive truck that was used in the movie 'Universal Soldier.' "
Could a video for a song named after explosive pyrotechnics be filmed without actually featuring some? Sure, but that wouldn't be any fun.
"The song 'Dynamite' itself is about when you go to the club and when you go to a party and when you're just going out ... you got to feel like, 'I'm just gonna explode,' " Cruz explained. "Basically, we are going to represent that with just massive, massive, fireworks in the sky!"

Katy Perry's "California Gurls" Spends Fifth Week At #1 On Billboard Hot 100
Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - Katy Perry's "California Gurls" is still the most popular song in the country, remaining at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a fifth week. It's also inching closer to her longest streak at #1 when she topped the chart for seven weeks with "I Kissed a Girl." The track, which features rapper Snoop Dogg, is also the #1 song at pop radio. It also moved another 277,000 copies in digital sales, but wasn't the week's biggest digital seller.
That title belongs to Eminem and Rihanna with "Love the Way You Lie," which sold another 280,000 copies for a second week at the top of the Hot Digital Songs chart. That's also good enough for another week at #2 on the Hot 100. Usher follows with "OMG" at #3 for another week.
There were no shake-ups in the top 5 at all this week as B.o.B. and Hayley Williams remain at #4 this week with "Airplanes," while Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars are unmoved at #5 with "Billionaire."
Mike Posner moves up to #6 this week with his debut single, "Cooler Than Me." Meanwhile, Taio Cruz was only absent from the top 10 for a week before rebounding back with his brand new single, "Dynamite." The track moves up to #7 from #14 last week. It's also rumored to be released as a remix with Jennifer Lopez.
Down two spots to #8 this week is Drake with "Find Your Love," while Jason Derulo inches up a spot to #9 with his latest, "Ridin' Solo." Eminem climbs back into the top 10, holding the #10 spot this week for his second entry on the chart.

Enrique Iglesias, Taio Cruz Lead "Jersey Shore" Soundtrack
Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - The bronzed crew of MTV's "Jersey Shore" are providing the sounds of the summer with the soundtrack to the hit reality show, just in time for the premiere of the show's second season.
The soundtrack is led by the single "I Like It," by Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, which also appears on Iglesia's album "Euphoria." A video for the single featuring the cast of "Jersey Shore" is already in rotation on MTV.
The rest of the soundtrack was assembled for maximum fist-pumping potential, with club-ready tracks like Deadmau5 and Rob Swire's "Ghosts N Stuff," Paul Oakenfold's "Pump It Up," and Tiesto vs. Diplo on "Come On."
Taio Cruz and Ludacris get remixed on the #1 hit "Break Your Heart," David Guetta appears with his new Fergie-featuring single "Gettin' Over You," with Chris Willis and LMFAO. LMFAO also contribute the theme to the show's first season, "Get Crazy."
The rest of the soundtrack features songs from Kid Sister, Lil Jon feat. 30H!3, Girlicious, Midi Mafia, Richard Vission, Die Atzen, and Steve Aoki.
Cast member DJ Pauly D even contributes a track, "Beat Dat Beat (It's Time To)." Conspicuously missing from the soundtrack? Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's dance track "The Situation," which leaked last month and featured Fatman Scoop, DJ Class, and Disco Fries.
The "Jersey Shore" soundtrack hits stores July 20th, while the show's highly anticipated second season premieres on July 29th.
